Your Bandcamp catalog, without the afternoon

Every artist who has moved platforms knows the afternoon. Download each release one at a time. Re-upload it. Re-type the tracklist. Hunt for the artwork at the right size. Hope you remembered the barcode. Then realise the mailing list is a separate export you haven't started.

We built a Bandcamp importer so that afternoon doesn't have to happen. It's a free Mac app. You download it, sign in, tick what you want, and it moves your releases and your mailing list into Sleeve. Your masters come across as the lossless files Bandcamp holds for you, not the 128k streaming preview.

Why it's an app and not a button on this website

The honest answer is that it's the only version we were willing to build.

Bandcamp has no API for catalogs or mailing lists, and downloading your own lossless masters requires a signed-in session. A web version would mean you hand us your Bandcamp session, and we hold it on our servers while we work. That's a reasonable thing to be uncomfortable with, and we were uncomfortable building it.

So the importer runs on your computer instead. It opens Bandcamp's own login page in a browser window — their page, not a copy of it, which is why captcha and two-factor work normally. It reads the session cookie that login produces, and nothing else. That cookie isn't written to disk and never reaches us. Your Bandcamp password is never typed into Sleeve software at all.

The cost of that decision is real: it's macOS only for now, and it's a download rather than a click. We think that's the right trade for not asking you to hand over an account you still depend on.

Nothing happens that you didn't ask for

The importer only reads from Bandcamp. It doesn't edit, unpublish, or delete anything there. Your page stays exactly as you left it, which means running the importer isn't a decision about leaving — you can move your catalog across and keep selling there while you think about it.

On the Sleeve side, every release arrives as a draft. Nothing is on your page, in your feed, or visible to anyone until you publish it. Your imported subscribers get no email on arrival either. The first thing they hear from you is something you wrote.
